LOcation: roberts pdr room
What do new therapists need to know to develop their craft? In this workshop, you’ll get practical advice about a range of difficult therapy situations, as well as an opportunity to explore the emotional issues that new therapists often grapple with. You’ll leave with a fuller sense of your strengths as a therapist and how you can continue to expand and deepen your skills.
We’ll pose and answer a broad range of everyday practice questions, including:
- What are the most common ways beginning therapists get stuck and what can I do about them?
- How can I handle persistent conflicts in sessions, intense expressions of emotion, and challenges to my authority?
- How can I develop my own unique style as a therapist that goes beyond merely imitating other models?
