619 From Therapist to Coach

Robert PasickRobert Pasick • Sunday All Day
If you’ve ever thought about making a career switch from psychotherapist to executive coach, this is the workshop for you. You’ll learn everything you need to know about what such a transition means, what it requires, what to do—and what not to do. We’ll walk you through the new knowledge base you’ll need, and the additional training you’ll need to get it. Since you’ll be working with executives, you’ll require a firm understanding of how businesses operate, a command of business terminology, and insight into the demands and imperatives of running a business, including marketing. We’ll outline four basic types of coaching clients seek: developing leadership skills; making career changes and transitions; guidance on how to make tough decisions; and how to resolve difficult conflicts. You’ll leave with the tools you’ll need to help you decide if such a career switch is for you—and if so, how to begin.

Robert Pasick, Ph.D., a psychologist and executive, coach is the author of Balanced Leadership in Unbalanced Times and Conversations with My Old Dog.
