Certain highly charged emotions—fear, deep sadness, guilt, anger—are often buried in well-worn stories that inhibit personal development and sabotage relationships. This interactive workshop uncovers the five “hiding places” of emotions and offers a road map for helping clients cultivate emotional fluency. We’ll identify the emotions that get trapped in our clients’ bodies, personal narratives, unexpressed feelings, addictive behaviors, and subconscious belief systems. You’ll leave with new skills for helping clients release embedded emotions and guide them toward meaningful change.

Howard Richmond, M.D., a transpersonal psychiatrist who’s been in private practice for over 20 years, is the author of The Healing Field, a novel based on the true story of his work with an anorexic patient, who is desperate to die—until, together, they find her lost soul.
