Tara Brach • Saturday All Day
Perhaps never before has it been so important to offer clients tools for training their attention so they can find a sense of refuge and calm in the face of life’s tumultuous challenges. In this experiential workshop, you’ll practice meditation and guided exercises as we come together to apply recent research about the emotional, relational, and spiritual benefits of cultivating higher centers of the brain. We’ll investigate three fundamental portals for establishing a lucid and compassionate presence. We’ll learn how to witness, process, and release our identification with compelling wants and fears. We’ll explore tools for moving beyond the egoic self to experience greater attunement with others. Finally, we’ll experiment with putting aside our habitual stories of self to inhabit a larger sense of who we are, beyond our individual narratives. You’ll learn these skills yourself, and leave knowing how to teach them to your clients. (This session will continue with Workshop 501).
