Energy Psychology (EP) refers to a family of mind-body approaches, including Emotional Freedom Techniques and Thought Field Therapy, that repeatedly have been shown to be effective with affect dysregulation and trauma. Nevertheless, EP and its tapping methodology have been dismissed as a placebo grounded in pseudo-science by its critics, even as the evidence of its effectiveness has continued to grow. If you want to find out what all the fuss is about, attend this session, where we’ll create a bridge from the more mainstream works of neuroscience, EMDR, mindfulness, and talk therapy to the latest research findings and clinical developments within the EP community. You’ll leave knowing the research behind EP, especially for trauma, along with specific EP tools that you can use with your clients. You’ll also know how to integrate EP into your current practice.

Robert Schwarz, Psy.D., author of Tools for Transforming Trauma, is a licensed psychologist and a diplomat in Comprehensive Energy Psychology. He’s organized 18 conferences on Energy Psychology, trauma, Ericksonian hypnosis, and brief therapy.
