125 For New Therapists

Lynn GrodzkiLynn Grodzki • Thursday All Day
Just starting out as a therapist? Don’t be nervous: this confidence-building workshop will provide a detailed road map of the professional territory ahead. You’ll learn six valuable lessons, starting with how to organize the essential information about a case, and keep it in your head. Next, you’ll gain insight into parallel process: how the way in which a client forms a relationship with a therapist parallels the client’s relationships in general. Third, you’ll garner tips on how to formulate an initial framing of goals for the client and move forward. From there, we’ll examine ways to use your “self” in therapy. You’ll learn the importance of tracking progress with the client, methods for measuring that progress, and what to do when there’s little or no progress. Finally, you’ll acquire practical information about how to build and run an effective practice, and leave this workshop with a newfound sense of professional confidence.
