Elisha Goldstein • Thursday All Day
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, is now taught at more than 250 medical centers around the world. Clinical research has demonstrated that MBSR techniques significantly benefit the mind, emotional regulation, and physical health. This daylong workshop will combine mindfulness and yoga practice with group discussion to restore body and mind and bring a deeper sense of sanity, balance, and delight to your life and relationships. We’ll explore the basic principles of MBSR—authenticity, nonjudgmental attention, compassion, and loving kindness. You’ll leave knowing several mindfulness techniques and yoga postures to practice yourself and with your clients to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression and enhance contentment.
