Employing techniques based on stimulating acupuncture points during exposure and cognitive shifts, Energy Psychology (EP) has been used to treat a wide variety of problems--phobias, PTSD, depression, cravings, physical pain, and autoimmune illnesses. Now numbers of studies have shown that EP produces significant, immediate improvements in both psychological and physical functioning. In this practical workshop, you’ll see a demonstration of a simple, streamlined version of Emotional Freedom Techniques. This can be learned quickly, doesn’t require complicated “tapping” sequences, and may be combined with other therapy models, including CBT and exposure therapy. You’ll discover how to use the method to decrease a client’s stress level and shift dysfunctional conditioning. Rather than a new form of therapy, this intervention is a highly effective, completely benign adjunct to clinical work, which belongs in every therapist’s toolkit. Note: this workshop doesn’t qualify for continuing education for psychologists.
