--therapists still tend to practice as if the locus of human psychology exists solely in the mind. In this workshop, you’ll get a solid primer, based on peer-reviewed studies, on the influence of seven bodily systems-- immune, digestive, neuroendocrine, energy-regulation, toxin-elimination, genetics, and epigenetics--on mental health. You’ll learn about the aspects of nutrition that most affect behavior and mental health. We’ll also review a clinical assessment procedure that’ll help you understand the role of hormones, thyroid imbalances, free radicals, infections, toxic substances, and various environmental factors in your clients’ mental and physical lives. (This session will continue with Workshop 307.)
