We often think of yoga as a practice comprising physical postures and calming breathing exercises, but for thousands of years, yoga has given its practitioners the clear mind, calm self-assurance, and inner resolve to face whatever the world has thrown at them with courage and confidence. In this workshop, we’ll practice ancient meditative self-inquiry, mood-balancing Yoga Nidra--which promotes relaxation through a state of deep stillness--and the uplifting “Say Yes to Yourself” guided-imagery practice. Throughout the calming, meditative exercises, we’ll incorporate joint warm-ups and gentle yogic stretching, along with mantras and pranayama breathing. By day’s end, you’ll feel more spacious and expansive--ready to stride out into your life with a brave and open heart.
