Engaging the World from the Nation’s Capital
Our Marriage and Family Therapy PhD program is training the next generation of marriage and family therapists (MFT) in social justice approaches to MFT teaching, research, supervision, and practice. We believe social justice in MFT education requires: Understanding the diversity of people and families; An explicit action orientation; Family policies that recognize diversity and improve resiliency; Researchers to do socially informed research; Clinical practice focusing on helping and contributing to the positive development of diverse families and their communities. Students participate in clinical supervision experiences at Antioch New England's training clinic. We have housed a COAMFTE-Accredited MA program in MFT since 1993.

Counseling
The California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) offers a Master of Arts (MA) program in Counseling Psychology, taught entirely in English, at our campus in Mexico City. The program combines traditional teaching methods with experiential study tours and direct clinical experience. This innovative program teaches the core clinical competencies necessary to respond to the mental health needs of the Latino community, with particular emphasis on applying psychological and systemic theories in counseling children, couples and families. The program also fulfills the academic requirements for licensure as a master’s-level mental health professional in most states.

The Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) program with a concentration in clinical psychology maintains a strong commitment to social justice and offers an optional emphasis area in family psychology. Designed to meet the needs of adults, the program utilizes a blended learning approach to coursework. Small cohorts of 8-12 learners meet approximately once a month for Professional Development Seminars in Cincinnati, Ohio or Brattleboro, Vermont for the first three years. Counseling Psychology
The Graduate School of Psychology at Naropa offers counseling degree programs that are engaged, contemplative and informative. Counseling
The MA with Concentrations in Psychology & Counseling is designed to offer the traditional courses and supervised internship experience required by state and national credentialing bodies. Students enrolling in Clinical Mental Health or Counseling Psychology tracks meet coursework requirements for national certification by the NBCC and may be eligible to sit for the National Counselor’s Exam while in their final term. Students living in the Northeast, may opt for the Weekend Option, while geographically diverse students may prefer the twice annual National Option. The program is based in Brattleboro, Vermont. The Department of Psychology at ETSU offers a Ph.D. graduate program in Clinical Psychology. The mission of this program is to provide doctoral training in Clinical Psychology for rural behavioral health and practice in the context of integrated primary health care. The curriculum is based on a scientist-practitioner model with innovative curricular elements utilizing our collaborative relationship with the university's James H.
