Our Presenters Are Leaders In The Field

Alan Sroufe, Ph.D., is the William Harris Professor of Child Psychology in the Institute of Child Development and adjunct professor of psychiatry at the University of Minnesota. His books include The Development of the Person: The Minnesota Study of Risk and Adaptation from Birth to Adulthood.

 

Jerome Kagan, Ph.D., has conducted groundbreaking research on inborn temperament, personality, and the interaction of biology and psychology. His books include Temperamental Thread: How Genes, Culture, Time and Luck Make Us Who We Are, Galen’s Prophecy, and An Argument for Mind.

 

Dan Siegel, M.D., is a clinical professor at the UCLA School of Medicine, codirector of the Mindful Awareness Research Center, executive director of the Mindsight Institute, and the founding editor of the Norton Series on Interpersonal Neurobiology. His books include The Developing Mind; Mindsight; and The Mindful Therapist.

 

David Schnarch, Ph.D., is the director of the Crucible Institute in Colorado. His books include Intimacy & Desire: Awaken the Passion in Your Relationship and Passionate Marriage: Keeping Love & Intimacy Alive in Emotionally Committed Relationships.

 

Susan Johnson, Ed.D., who helped develop Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, is the director of the Ottawa Couple and Family Institute and of the International Center for Excellence in EFT. Her latest book is Hold Me Tight: Seven Conversations for a Lifetime of Love.

 

Allan Schore, Ph.D. is on the clinical faculty at the UCLA School of Medicine and the UCLA Center for Culture, Brain, and Development. He’s the author of Affect Regulation and the Origin of the Self, Affect Dysregulation and Disorders of the Self, and Affect Regulation and the Repair of the Self, and editor of the Norton Series on Interpersonal Neurobiology.

 

Ed Tronick, Ph.D., at the University of Massachusetts Boston, is an internationally recognized researcher and teacher known for his work on the development of infants and young children, parenting, and infant-parent mental health. He developed the Still-Face paradigm, which has become a standard means of studying development. He’s coauthored and authored more than 150 scientific papers and chapters.
