Jack Kornfield, Ph.D., is one of the leading Buddhist teachers in America. He's a founding teacher of the Spirit Rock Center in California and has taught in centers and universities worldwide. His books, which include A Path with Heart, After the Ecstasy, and, most recently, A Wise Heart: A Guide to the Universal Teachings of Buddhist Psychology, have been translated into 20 languages and have sold more than a million copies.

Ron Siegel, Psy.D., an assistant clinical professor of psychology at Harvard Medical School, is the author of The Mindfulness Solution: Everyday Practices for Everyday Problems, the coeditor of Mindfulness and Psychotherapy, and, most recently, coeditor of the forthcoming book Wisdom and Compassion in Psychotherapy: Deepening Mindfulness in Clinical Practice.

Tara Brach, Ph.D., is a founder and senior teacher of the Insight Meditation Community of Washington D.C. A clinical psychologist and leading Western teacher of Buddhism, Brach is nationally known for her skill at integrating psychotherapy with a range of meditative and mindfulness practices. Her books include Radical Acceptance: Embracing Your Life with the Heart of a Buddha and, most recently, True Refuge: Three Gateways to a Fearless Heart.

Michael Yapko, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist and marriage and family therapist, is internationally recognized for his work in clinical hypnosis, brief psychotherapy, and the strategic treatment of depression. He's the author of 13 books, his latest being Mindfulness and Hypnosis: The Power of Suggestion to Transform Experience. Others include Breaking the Patterns of Depression; Depression Is Contagious; and Trancework: An Introduction to the Practice of Clinical Hypnosis (3rd edition).

Richard Schwartz, Ph.D., is director of the Center for Self Leadership and the originator of the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model. He's published more than 50 articles about IFS and four books, including Internal Family Systems Therapy and, most recently, You Are the One You've Been Waiting For.

Mark Epstein, M.D., a psychiatrist in private practice, integrates Buddhist psychology into his work, teachings, and books. He's written extensively on the union of Eastern ideas and psychology for publications such as Tricycle: A Buddhist Review, Yoga Journal, and O: The Oprah Magazine. His books include Going to Pieces without Falling Apart; Going on Being; Thoughts without a Thinker; Open to Desire; and, most recently, Psychotherapy without a Self.

Sharon Salzberg, a leading spiritual teacher, author, and speaker, is cofounder of the Insight Meditation Society, considered one of the most prominent meditation centers in the West. A pioneer in bringing Eastern meditation practices to the West, her work has appeared in numerous publications, including Time Magazine, The Huffington Post, Yoga Journal, Tricycle, and msnbc.com. Her books include The Force of Kindness, The Kindness Handbook, and most recently, Real Happiness: The Power of Meditation.
