Meet The Instructor

John Gottman, Ph.D., is recognized as one of the leading couples researchers in the world. He is the author or co-author 178 published articles and 37 books, the most recent of which is Ten Lessons to Transform Your Marriage.;

Francine Shapiro, Ph.D., is the original developer of EMDR and a Senior Research fellow at the Mental Research Institute. She is the author of 50 articles and 3 books, including EMDR: Basic Principles, Protocols and Procedures.

Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D., is professor of medicine emeritus at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where he was founder and former director of its world-renowned Stress Reduction Clinic. He's the author of several books, including Coming to Our Senses: Healing Ourselves and the World Through Mindfulness, Full Catastrophe Living and Wherever You Go, There You Are.

Belleruth Naparstek, L.I.S.W., is a clinical social worker, guided imagery specialist, and founder and cochairman of Healthy Journeys, Inc. She's created the popular Health Journeys guided imagery audio series, and is the author of Invisible Heroes: Survivors of Trauma and How They Heal.

Paul Pearsall, Ph.D., is an internationally known speaker and author. His bestselling books include The Last Self-Help Book You'll Ever Need; The Beethoven Factor; and The Pleasure Prescription.

Salvador Minuchin, M.D., has been at the forefront of the field of family therapy for 50 years. His most recent book is Assessing Families and Couples: From Symptom to System.
